Calligraphy Letters, Tools & Materials : Calligraphy Tools: Scissors

For regular stuff, I have scissors and these
are my two basic scissors. These scissors would be used for the smaller things that
I was going to be cutting. This is in the nature of cut and paste. Let’s say I have
an idea here that I want to cut and paste. Let’s say this, look at that! This is about
relativity. Let’s say I want to cut this guy, so I cut this guy out. No big deal, we’ll
be using the bigger scissors just as easily. Then, say I want to past it on some other
piece of paper. At this point, you guessed it, this is for reproduction. You don’t do
this on your manuscripts. So, there you go. And when you put this guy in the copy machine
the tape doesn’t show up, the pencil line would so you’d have to erase that. Then there’s
also the toy scissors. The toy scissors are good for making, this is a deckled edge right
there, and the toy scissors are good for making a sort of more formal kind of deckled edge.
You can see that edge. Kind of cool, huh? So there’s our cutting tools.
