Let’s learn Korean for BTS! Lesson 3. The Basic consonants of Hangul 1. Hello, everyone. I’m teacher Rennie. 2. AllK4BTS is a place where I teach you from the basics of Korean language. 3. Today, I will teach you the basic consonants of Han-gul. 4. If you haven’t seen the previous video, please watch it first.
5. Each consonant has a name, but it’s more important to know it’s phonetic value. giyeok, nieun, digeut, rieul, mieum, bieup siot, ieung, jieut, chieut, kieuk tieut pieup hieut 6. ‘ᄀ’ giyeok [kijʌk] phonetic value is [g] [g] [g] 7. The order in which you write Han-gul is always written from left to right, from top to bottom. 8. The order of writing is the same as the picture. One. 9. It’s used in the words for furniture and hot air balloon. 10. ‘ㄴ’ nieun [niωn], phonetic value [n], [n], [n] 11. The order of writing is the same as the picture. One. 12. It’s used in the words for butterfly and Nam-joon. 13. ‘ㄷ’ digeut [tigωt], phonetic value is [t, d, t^] 14. The order of writing is the same as the picture. One, Two 15. It’s used in the words for bridge and road. 16. ‘ㄹ’ rieul [riωl], phonetic value is [r, l] 17. The order of writing is the same as the picture. One, two, three 18. It’s used in the words for bridge and radio 19. ‘ᄆ ‘ mieum [miωm], phonetic value is [m] 20. The order of writing is the same as the picture
One, two, three 21. It’s used in the words for head and mosquitoes. 22. ‘ᄇ’ bieup [piωp], phonetic value is [p, b, p^] 23. The order of writing is the same as the picture
One, two, three, four. 24. It’s used in the words for bulletproof and spring. 25. ‘ᄉ’ siot [ʃiot], phonetic value is [s, ʃ] 26. The order of writing is the same as the picture. One, two One two 27. It’s used in the words for boy and Seok-jin. 28. ‘ㅇ’ ieung [iωŋ], phonetic value is [zero, ŋ] ‘ㅇ’ 이응 ieung [iωŋ], phonetic value is [zero, ŋ]. ‘ㅇ’ has no notes when it's in its initial consonants, but when it's used as a final consonant, it comes out. 29. The order of writing is like a picture. One. 30. It’s used in the words for Bulletproof and love. 31. ‘ᄌ’ jieut [tʃiωt], phonetic value is [tʃ, ʤ, t^] 32. The order of writing is the same as the picture
One, two 33. It’s used in the words for Jimin and Jung-kook 34. ‘ᄎ’ chieut [tʃhiωt], phonetic value is [tʃh, t^] 35. The order of writing is the same as the picture
One, two, three 36. It’s used in the words for tea and soccer. 37. ‘ㅋ’ kieuk [khiωk], phonetic value is [kh, k^] 38. The order of writing is the same as the picture
One. Two 39. It’s used in the words for nose and kiwi. 40. ‘ᄐ’ tieut [thiωt], phonetic value is [th, t^] 41. The order of writing is the same as the picture. One, two, three 42. It’s used in the words for bulletproof and tomato. 43. ‘ᄑ’ pieup [phiωp], phonetic value is [ph, p^] 44. The order of writing is the same as the picture. One, Two Three, four. 45. It’s used in the words for waves and grapes. 46. ‘ᄒ’ hieut [hiiωt], phonetic value is [h] 47. The order of writing is the same as the picture
One, two, three 48. It’s used in the words for sky and waist. 49. Let’s review it. 
50. Read each consonant with a vowel ‘ㅏ’. Read it, please. ga, na, da, la, mah, ba,
Sa, Ah ja, cha, ka, ta, pah, ha 51. Wow! You read it all well. 52. If you read and practice while you write, you will learn faster.

    This excellent for beginners like me that r hesitant on taking the first step in learning korean…it’s difficult to learn. She’s good at starting with the very basics…like how she ties it in with BTS..smart 👍👍
