Hi everyone! Welcome back to Spoken Arabic Simplified. So today I am going to be answering another question that I get a lot, which is: how is my Modern Standard Arabic? So my Modern Standard Arabic isn’t bad, but it’s not that great either. Let’s just say that even though my speaking and writing is usually correct in terms of grammar, a lot of times they’re not correct in terms of correct word usage. In the sense that it’s not what a native speaker would say or write. In terms of comprehension, when I’m listening to the news for example, I can understand almost everything, but sometimes I have to focus a bit more to understand what is being said. And sometimes even if I’m really really concentrated it’s still hard to understand what they’re saying. Obviously when I read the news it’s a bit easier. When it comes to literature, on the other hand, that’s a completely different story and honestly it’s really difficult for me to understand literature. Anyway, I really want to improve my MSA and I’m planning on, in the near future, starting to work hard to improve it. I always say that and then in the end I don’t do anything. But this time I really feel like the time has come. Thanks for watching. If you liked this video don’t forget to like and subscribe. See you next time. Bye!
